I’m planning to travel from Gorakhpur to Nepal and trying to figure out the best way to do it. Considering the Gorakhpur to Nepal distance, what’s the fastest and most convenient way to cross the border?

I recently took the bus from Gorakhpur to Sunauli. The distance isn’t too long, but border checks can take some extra time. If you start early in the morning, it’s smoother.

• Trains to nearby stations like Nautanwa are also good, then you can hire a local taxi to cross the border. It felt more relaxed than the bus.

• For solo travelers, taking a shared cab worked best for me — quicker, fewer stops, and more flexible timing.
