Understanding menstrual cycle

Being a women isn’t easy due to the societal expectations and pressure, but there is one physical aspect with is beyond all of that. Yes we are talking about ‘menstrual cycle’ which a women has to go through each and every month’.
 

Usually in india, periods are a taboo topic and it isn’t discussed in public. Even today in many households it is considered ‘dirty’ and because of which women are asked to stay at a certain corner and are asked to stay away from the temple or kitchen without understanding the real reasons why such things were practiced few decades ago. We have seen this practice happen in the recent time in the households of mumbai, so think of what would happen in rural areas of our country.
 

To explain periods in the most simple way, it could be described as follows: Girls between the age group of 12 to 15 years hit puberty. This is the time when it is usually considered as ‘The Girl has grown into a women’ as from this time if she has sexual intercourse with the opposite gender, she can conceive a child.

Now when her organs have developed, her body goes through few hormonal changes to keep up with her conceiving ability. So now her body has around millions of unfertilised eggs which one by one gets utilised and while the egg is released from her ovaries, the lining of her uterus thickens to prepare her for conception. if the egg does not get fertilised on time the egg displses off, when this happen the body realises there is no need for the think lining, hence through bleeding the lining returns back to normal. This is when a the 4-7 days of period occurs.
